Up for sale is my 2003 Audi a-4 Quattro with the 3.0 and a 6 speed transmission. I bought this car a couple of years ago performed a major mechanical overhaul on it. I own a small shop that specializes in vw/audi repair. This car is a phenomenal driver, quick and smooth, a fantastic highway cruiser. However, it has two issues you need to know about. First, the second gear syncro is worn. If you shift the into second to fast while the trans is cold it will "clunk/grind" into gear. However a slow shift prevents this from happening. When the transmission is warm a medium shift is allowable and will drive just fine. I never fixed it because I was able to manage it and it never took away the usability of the car. Second, the drivers side catalytic converter is defective, thus the check engine light is on. I'm not interested in fixing either one of these issues. At approximately 125k miles the following was done; Full timing belt, all associated rollers, water pump, thermostat,valve cover gaskets, spark plugs and filters. (conti-tech kit) Good till 225k miles. $$$ Accessory belt and tensioner. Clutch disk, pressure plate, throw-out bearing and flywheel. All Sachs parts. $$$ Starter. Bosch. Battery. Interstate. A couple of 02 sensors, coolant temp sensor. Bosch. A rear wheel bearing And a couple of control arms. Drivers front seat heater element. OEM. $$$ Heater core. Both headlight bulbs (xenon) Sylvania. $$ Within the last 5K miles the following were replaced; Front and rear brake pads and rotors. Rotors are Textar coated. Pads are also Textar. Front tires and a 4 wheel alignment. Tires are a matching set, Toyo Extensa's. The rears are about half worn. Windshield. Nice and clear. Windshield wipers The body is in good shape, the paint shines nicely and there are no dents of awful scratches. The front and rear bumpers have typical scuffs and a scuff can be found on the passenger front fender in front of the wheel. The hood and headlights have the usual pitting from the highway. All in all the car shines up nicely. See pics. The interior is in decent shape also, however both front leather seat bottoms are lightly discolored. Not bad, I just thought I should mention it. Both seats function as they should. and the seat heaters are nice and toasty. The drivers seat heater in new. All of the electrical components work except for the passenger power mirror and the seat memory. Air conditioning is nice and cold and the heat is nice and warm. All doors, windows, hood and trunk operate as the should. I want to encourage anyone interested to contact me with any questions you might have.
