I am selling my 1969 Volkswagen Type 1 bug. I have owned the car for approx. 6 years and was driving it as my weekend car with hopes of eventually restoring it. Right now I have too many projects ahead of it and simply don't have the time to get around to it. The car was purchased from a man in Tehachapi, CA where it spent most of its time and the car has been in California its entire life. The car comes with both of its original blue plates. The car's body is solid and straight with a few small dings on various parts of the body but nothing that stands out - it has some minor surface rust but no body rust damage. The floor pans are in good, sturdy condition with no rust. When I purchased it, the previous owner had the engine (Single port 1641) and drive line rebuilt in 2006 and put roughly 15K miles on it. When I purchased it - he had other parts replaced such as new shocks, rebuilt starter, new bushing kit, new distributor, new fuel pump and carburetor. The odometer works and shows 57,778 miles which is believed to be the original mileage but I can't guarantee it. I recently replaced the fuel lines throughout the car including a new fuel filter. In additional, a new muffler and chrome exhaust tips from Wolfsburg West have been installed. The car comes with jack and spare tire. It also comes with a back seat that is not installed.
