Vehicle Detail
I bought this vehicle a year and a half ago from a seller in AZ, it was a west coast land cruiser from the start ( I have records of the original purchase in 1984 in AZ), it has only been a east coast cruiser since i have bought it. I have tried to ensure that no rust develops. The vehicle body is in good condition, the paint has faded on the hood, and the roof in a couple of areas where the clear coat has worn off, but overall no body issues when it comes to damage or rust. The drive train is in good condition, no wobbles or any sounds or vibrations, it needs to have the rear differential flushed and repacked. The front was done 7 months ago by a car shop out here. The vehicle runs great there is no knocks, pings, or abnormal sounds from the engine, it has been serviced regular with oil changes, fuel synthetic, and received a fuel system service 10 months ago to include a spark plug change, air filter, fuel system flush, fuel filter change and professional fuel system treatment by gumout. The AC and Heat still work well and have had no problems, the AC could probably stand to be recharged in the next couple of years depending upon your environment. The 2 Barrel carburetor was rebuilt 3 years ago by the previous owner and there is no issue with power or acceleration. I was averaging around 300 miles a tank on highway and around 220-250 city depending on how I was driving. I have changed out a few part to help keep the truck in prime shape but all parts are OEM specific to the vehicle. I am included the Wilderness rack and welder made for me and the roof racks, the cost of the cage was 600 dollars with labor. 1. Starter by Bosch: 4 February 2015 2. Master Slave Cylinder Clutch by Beckly/Arnold: 10 February 2015 3. Clutch Reservoir Cylinder by Beckly/Arnold: 10 February 2015 4. Ignition Coil by BWD: on 7 March 2015 5. Battery and terminal cables (Yellow top dry cell): Dec 2014 6. Ostu All Terrain Tires: May 2014 still a lot of tread life left 6. Radiator by Champion motors: 2013 it is the only non original part done by previous owner, but i have the original to include with sale. Overall very little work has had to be done to the vehicle due to the consistent maintenance done. The vehicle drives great, it has no vibrations or pulling in the steering column, its clutch works great with the change of the master and reservoir cylinders. The four wheel drive and wheel locks work terrific, it still lives up to the reputation of being a land cruiser and has come through every challenge off the road. It has some seepage of oil fluids around the oil pan and the rear differential it has not impeded any operation but not a dire threat to vehicle operation. The only reason why I am selling this vehicle is that I am moving overseas in the future and I will not have the capabilities to take care of it, and as such a vehicle like this needs to be used and driven and have time and money invested in it. A couple of things that need to be done in the future is as follows: 1. Frame and wheel wells need to be powder coated or rhino lined to prevent rust damage. After having two land cruiser before this one, the main areas of rust is always the wheel well and frame. 2. Carpet removed and replaced in the interior or as I was going to do remove and rhino line and install drain plugs 3. Paint is stripped down a coat or two and repainted with clear coat treatment. 4. Suspension be upgraded to Old Man Emu leaf springs. From all I could read up on it and from the Land Cruiser Forums they are a great investment. 5. Tune up to include replace the seal on the engine block in the next 2-5 years. I was not worried or had any concerns but I was trying to invest and keep the engine lasting as long as I could and this was a long term goal. I hope whomever get this vehicle enjoys it as much as I have, in fact to be honest I am dreading the sale, but after my investments and joy driving it I do not want to see this vehicle fall apart or go into disrepair. If offered a chance to buy another when I get back I would jump at the chance. *** If there is any questions or concerns or need for more pictures please PM me and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP 3.
