Vehicle Detail
FOR SALE IS OUR 1965 GMC LONG WHEEL BASE PICKUP TRUCK This GMC Truck was purchased new by my grandmother in 1965 for use in and around her farm. The farm became inactive in 1968 and so did the truck. We brought her back to life a few years ago by sandblasting the exterior down to the raw metal, primed and painted the original brilliant, high gloss white. The truck bed could not be salvaged and instead was replaced with 1" pressure treated plywood secured by the original metal slats (see photo). Photos do not show hubcaps, but the original four are there. The interior is nothing fancy--just a simple bench seat. The heater core, blower motor, blower switch, wiper switch, High-Low beam switch have all been replaced and everything works, with the exception being the radio. The radio turns on but only plays static. All four tires are steel-belted radials to include the spare and all have less than 500 miles on them. The engine is a V-6 Automatic and she loves gasoline! Engine has been overhauled to include a new carburetor; current mileage is approximately 29,000 original miles. I'll update the specific mileage next time I go to the tractor shed. Truck can be seen at any time in Wynne, Arkansas 72396. Should you ask why we are selling her now? We prefer the company of a 22KW Home Generator to our truck that barely gets sat in, much less driven. The following is the NADA Antique Truck Current Value Guide.
