Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a my very, very nice 1975 Triumph TR-6 ( non-overdrive ). As you can see the car is in the very rare Java green color and comes with an original factory steel hard top. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. The cars is totally turn key and only needs to be driven and enjoyed. This is not your run of the mill TR-6 so please take your time and read the auction in its entirety. Heritage: This is a true numbers matching car which along with its rare color and hard top option makes it that much rarer of a car. The production date is May 1975, commission number is CF 38782 U, engine number is CF 38657 UE and body tag #1 is T 33488. The car is still in its extremely rare original color of Java green ( paint code #85 ) with black (interior trim color code #11 ). A copy of the British Heritage Certificate is shown in the auction photos proving the car is a rare true numbers matching car. Mechanicals: The car runs and drives great. The engine bay is highly detailed and original right down to the original smog pump, emissions systems, green hoses / clamps and the original Telcate oil filter. The car was recently serviced which included a tune up, oil change, oil filter, air filters, and all fluids topped off. Other recent work was completed such as a new brake master cylinder, new brake servo, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new clutch kit and a new battery. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke. The brakes and clutch peddles are strong and firm. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises what so ever from the transmission or the rear end. Electrical's: This area is in unbelievable condition with no signs of the dreaded Lucas electrical Gremlin on this car. The following items are in proper working order: headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, horn works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, all dash indicator / warning lights work, courtesy light works, blower fan works, cigarette lighter works, windshield washer pump works, and the period correct "Becker" AM / FM push button radio works. Gauges: All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand and are in working order at this time. Interior: Is in very, very nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Exterior: The car looks absolutely fabulous ! The color is correct as it came from the factory which is the very rare "Java" green. The car sits nicely on the ground with no leaning, sagging or any signs of the dreaded TR-6 "Squatting" issues. Look at how well the body, hood, trunk and doors fit. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk and doors are laser straight. All glass is original Triplex glass in very nice condition. Both exterior door locks and trunk lock work properly using the keys. The wheels are in extremely nice condition and are wrapped in correct Michelin Redline "X" tires. Note: the paint is extremely nice but this car is driven often so there are a few small paint chips on the car. Note: The car was repainted a few years ago in its original Java green and has been well taken care of since then. The re spay was done to a very, very high standard and I can promise you that there is absolutely, positively no over spray on any of the chrome, seals or body gaskets on the car or the hard top. Soft Top: The soft top is in very good condition as seen in the photos. Hard Top: Yep this car does come with the rare and highly sought after factory steel hard top option. The hard top is in as very, very nice of condition. The headliner is in perfect condition. All glass on the hard top is original Triplex glass in very nice condition. Tops / Covers: Yes the car does come with a top cover, Tonneau cover and a car cover as well. Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car has a spare tire and wheel, original jack, original lug wrench and the original wheel trim ring removal tool. Underbody: This area looks unbelievably original with no signs rust repairs that I can find ( the car has never been under coated ). Shipping: If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/ Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photos let me know prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. No warranties / guarantees are expressed or implied. A $300 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end time.
