2003 Chevrolet Impala Police Interceptor 126,000 original miles 3.8L V6 with a NEW Automatic transmission Blue cloth bucket seats with rear bench seat White exterior with working spot lamp I purchased this car about a year ago for commuting long distance to work but after I purchased it I pursued another occupation so I no longer need it. When I bought it I changed all of the fluids and did a complete tune up on it, installed various gaskets to stop oil leaks, installed a new oil pump due to low oil pressure at idle. The motor started this when I was at home of all places when the low oil pressure light came on so I pulled it into the shop and diagnosed a worn oil pump. I removed the valve covers and oil pan and didnt see any evidence of this being a problem to the longevity of the motor at the time I caught it. It makes excellent pressure now with the new pump. I also replaced a swaybar end link, rear trailing arm, the boots on the steering rack and cvt axles. The interior is clean and basic as a police car is, the drivers seat was swapped with a light gray seat at some point before I got the car, the a/c does not work but I believe it just needs recharged. The exterior has a couple of dings and scratches but nothing major, the tires are fair and will need replacing soon, brakes are all about 75% around the car, the previous owner had a new transmission installed 500 miles before I bought the car but didnt provide me with any warrany info but it is through a local reputable shop in town. I have put maybe 1,000 miles on it in a years time and get around 23 mpg in town and closer to 30 on the highway. Its a great running, low mileage car that will go two or three times this many miles to go before it will be tired. I do drive it time to time into town to keep things lubricated and moving so mileage may go up alittle. Call Andy with any questions about it at 417-230-5138.
