One owner since 1987 and only 9,700 original miles!One of if not the most complete set of documents ever seen for a 560 SL.Never damaged or repaired.Original tires also!We have a complete set of detailed pictures for anyone who would like to review them. I sold these cars new in 1986 and 1987 for a MB dealership in Iowa and remember them quite well! While it is not flawless cosmetically, it does represent itself very well. It has never been subjected to repairs or poor storage practices. Rust or corrosion underneath is ZERO, there is none and the original cosmoline is still covering the engine and underbody. The original owner saved every document provided since new including the original tool kit with the plastic bag, window sticker, and many other items which are pictured below. As stated in the defects section of this ebay listing, the car is not flawless. But the slight nicks and scratches are certainly minimal for the age. A complete and detailed set of pictures can be provided to better understand how you feel about the level of severity and how these may concern you. Paint is measured with a Elcometer to be original save for the rear quarters and deck lid which measure 1.5 mils more than the rest of the car. Since it retains the original painted pinstripe and owners initials we feel these 3 panels are likely clear coated or were possibly re-coated at the port which is a very common occurrence. All original VIN stickers are present including the bumpers. This car has never been exposed to damage of any kind. The convertible top windows were beyond saving so a new German Canvass top was just fitted. As you likely are aware, 560 SLs or 107 chassis number examples have been increasing in value over the last 24 months. We actually sold one last year for close to six figures that had only 118 original miles on it. To be fair, this car is a 1987 which is known to have the highest production numbers of the 1986-1989 years. So it will always take a back seat to values of the 4 years available.
