1973 Toyota hilux pickup truck 5 speed ( no smog check ever needed ever) smog exempt These trucks were made to last, top quality. A true made in Japan First year of this body and very rare This is a nice reliable little pickup (a good driver) the interior has been reupholstered and looks very nice and comfortable. Everything works on the truck all the knobs, wipers, heater, hazard lights, turn signals, headlights, tail lights, horn, speedometer and gauges. New Kenwood CD player with usb and headphone jack. The motor runs very strong no oil leaks and no smoke at all. It has new starter, new oem fuel pump, new fuel filter, new oil filter, new air filter, new radiator hoses, new voltage regulator, new cap & Rotor, new NGK spark plug wires, new brake booster master cylinder, and new tires. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country It has an 5 speed manual transmission, these trucks came with a 4speed. The transmission came from a newer 1977 hilux so it a direct bolt in. Professional transmission shop did the installation. With the 5 speed it gets really Good gas mileage 30+mpg ( 5 SPEED IS A BIG PLUS ) you can cruse the freeway with the reves low. Strong clutch The body is solid, California truck all its life, original sun/golden state license plates (when is the last time you've seen some of those), so minimal rust issues. Bed is very solid no rust other than some light surface rust underneath the bed. Overall it's pretty solid.
