1982 FJ40 Land Cruiser. 2H Diesel. 5-Speed Transmission. Hello everyone and Happy New Year. This is a rare opportunity to own a very rare Land Cruiser. This is a 1982 FJ40 - only 800 of them were ever imported to the U.S. On top of that, this cruiser was converted from the original 2F fuel engine to a 2H diesel. This conversion was done by SOR in California. At the same time of the engine conversion, they installed a 5-speed transmission. This conversion was done around 5 years ago. I purchased this FJ40 from the gentleman who paid to have the conversion done. Keep in mind this is a 2H diesel and not the crappy BJ40 diesel that is gutless. This has as much or more power and speed than the 2F motors. Extremely fun to drive and has a lot of torque. You can see from some of the photos I posted that I completely broke the cruiser down into pieces. Everything was sand blasted, etched, painted in Toyota Code 532 (professionally) and then put back together. I spared no expense in the restoration. Everything is done with new gaskets, new parts, stainless steel bolts/washers/nuts. New upholstery. I purchased most of the parts and components were purchased from SOR (Specter Off Road) or Cool Cruisers. Does not have AC or Power Steering. However, the steering is tight and easy to turn. If you want AC take the top off ! Stunning, stunning, stunning. This FJ40 turns the heads. I get stopped every single day that I drive this FJ40. This is an A+ cruiser. It starts right up and drives perfectly. Everything is tight. No weird noises, creaks, squeals, etc. This is a collectors dream. Body Specifics:This body is extremely original and rust free. Most of the body panels still have the factor tac welds on them which means they have not been replaced or covered up with filler. Items That Need Attention:1. There is a small crack on the dash. It's an original dash without any plastic coverup glued to it so I left it in that condition.2. It has a tape-deck stereo that I haven't wired to any speakers. Conditions of the Sale:I require that you send me $1000 for a deposit. After I receive the deposit, I will overnight the title to you. Once you receive the title, you have five (5) working days to pay me the balance and arrange to pick up the FJ40 or arrange transportation. The FJ40 is sold as-is.
