1975 Triumph Trident T160V This beautiful numbers matching example of British design and quality workmanship has a 750cc three cylinder engine with a 5 speed transmission, electric start, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes and is the first production year Triumph had a left side gear shift. It was purchased from the original owner in 1981. The electric start works great and the engine runs strong and smooth. The Triumph rides on Dunlop tires, front and rear, has the European style low bars and front fork gaiters. It retains it’s original and still shiny tuned exhaust pipes with Toga mufflers that sound fantastic. The large capacity 5 ½ gallon fuel tank was repainted in original burgundy and white with gold pinstripe but the colors were reversed from original as you can see from the pictures. All the lights and signals work properly. The following maintenance was recently performed on the Triumph at Legend Cycle in Idaho Falls, Idaho: · Front and rear brake master cylinders rebuilt· Carburetors rebuilt and synchronized. (New gaskets filters and throttle rod seals installed)· New 12 volt 16 amp battery, cables and retaining strap installed· New fuel hose assembly installed · New original Lucas oil cooler reflector installed · New chrome seat trim installed · New seat check wire installed· Charging system tested· Engine tuned and serviced. · The front brake light switch was upgraded from the small unreliable manual switch located at the hand lever to an inline hydraulic pressure switch as first used on the 1979 Bonneville’s. The gas cap leaked at some point and stained the white paint just forward of the right side tank badge as shown in the pictures. The Triumph comes with a clean clear title.
