1997 Lexus Es 300 Runs great but has a problem where it will not go into reverse.The problem arose when I replaced the Shift knob because the old one was worn.To replace the knob I had to replace the entire shifter assembly.It looks great but now reverse almost never works, All drive gears work good, no slipping, very strong and fast.The car was working fine before I replaced the shifter assembly and I will include the original Shifter assembly and shift knob, it could possibly be an easy fix, judging by the power and how it doesn't slip at all I believe that this is not mechanical, but I honestly don't know.Car has Great tires and is generally clean in and out. Paint is faded in some spots, still shines nice, has it share of scratches and a small rust spot near rear wheel weelDrivers seat is torn, armrest is worn pretty badly. Drivers outside door handle cracked but still opens door. Sunroof works but gets jammed so I unplugged it. Missing the mouldings on the window frames paint on mirror hinges chipping A/C is Ice Cold, Heat is Super Warm. Since I owned the car I have always used Synthetic Oil and K&N Oil and Air Filters. Has aftermarket wheels with very good tires. Stereo is amazing, I replaced the rear Subwoofer Inspection good for another yearLocated in Arden Heights section of Staten Island.
