Here's the good: Sporty looking Toyota. The motor runs strong, no oil leaks, and it gets 30+ MPG. It has never been in a major accident and still looks sharp. We purchased this for my son in 2008 and he has been driving it for the last 100K+ miles. The clutch, catalytic converter, battery, and (2) tires have all been replaced within the last 2 years. It also passed MD State Emissions in June. The vehicle still has pep and looks good with no major dents. It is still tagged and driveable and we are selling since my son just purchased a new car. This model of the Toyota Celica is the GTS which is the sporty model with a more powerful engine, a drive chain (not timing belt), 6 Speed Manual, and a Sun Roof. Here's the bad: With 213K miles the interior looks rough and has torn leather seats and an ugly dash. I'd suggest using a seat cover and a lot of scrubbing to clean the stickers off of the dash board. There are several dings and scratches on the exterior but no major dents. The following is a list of what we know is wrong with the car... Heater does not work, electric locks do not work, the check engine light just came on, one of the headlight brackets is broken, and the plastic shrouding under the engine compartment has fallen off. I believe the things that are wrong are relatively inexpensive to fix. A good mechanic, or someone that wants to work on a project car, could get this going again for it to go another 50K - 100K miles without spending a lot.
