Vehicle Detail
For sale is an original 1977 CR 125 Elsinore just like the bike that Marty Smith would have raced for team Honda back in the day. This bike has been in climate controlled storage for more than 7 years so it will need to be gone through thoroughly. I will go into detail below but if you have additional questions please feel free to contact me. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have. This would be a nice candidate for a winter restoration or to build your racer for next season. Bike Information:Engine - motor turns freely and did run before being stored. No broken fins but it does have the normal broken off area of the ignition cover.(It would be safe to assume that you would want to at least do a fresh top end , replace the crank seals which could potentially be dried out from storage, clean the carb and trans oil.)Suspension - rear shock shafts are good and the shocks seem to have dampening. I would also replace fork seals and fork oil, maybe fork boots as well.Wheels - rims are very nice shape most likely due to the fact that the original Bridgestone tires are still on the bike! Bodywork - Tank is in great shape and not rusted up inside. Side panels are original and very nice. Front/back fenders are original but faded. May be able to wet sand them and use plastic renew to get color and shine back. Bike is missing the front number plate though.Seat - is original and no ripsFrame - there are no repairs or welds that I can see and the paint is originalExhaust - it is the original pipe which is in nice condition SHIPPING: costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I don't mind holding the bike for a while once it is paid for. I realize it takes time to make shipping arrangements and I want to make this a stress free experience for the buyer. I do have a pretty good list of shippers I would be happy to pass on to you. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - I have several Over sea's Shipping services that I can refer you to that will crate and ship to countries like Australia, New Zealand, UK as well as other country's in Europe if you require those services. PAYMENT: Deposit is nonrefundable. Balance payment is due within 7 days of the auction ending. I will accept the balance of payment in the following ways-Bank transfer, cash in person, Bank of America cashiers check or USPS money orders.
