Original 1936 Henry Ford steel Cabriolet. 792,000 Fords were built in 1936 and only 11,000 (less than 1.5 %) we're Cabriolets. This was the last year for outside mounted spare tire and freestanding headlights. I bought this car from the second owner in 2011 who bought it from the first owner in 1952. The current paint was done in the early 70's and shows some patina. It was pinstriped by Hotdog Pete Finland in 2012. It has a 286 cubic inch 59ab flathead with Offy heads manifold with two 97's. Crab style distributor. Leakless water pumps. Fenton cast iron headers. It has also been upgraded to 12v. The mileage is unknown.I lowered the car with a 4 inch axles (ford heavy beam), reverse eye springs, 39 spindles and juice brakes. It has 550 16" front tires and 750 16" rear tires on stock wide 5-36 wheels and caps. This car has never been in an accident or patch panels put in it. All tin work came with the car on the assembly line, it has been car it's whole life. I have driven this car in southern california for a few years now mainly to cars show and weekend drives.
