Update: 12/20/2014 0832am I have replaced the broken ball joint on the left lower control arm; The car can roll freely now. The left lower control arm appears severely damaged. I have a new one; I popped the ball joint out of it and pressed that ball joint into the damaged lower control arm while it's still on the car. I was attempting to replace the entire lower control arm, but that proved quite a difficult task. This required removing the mounting bolts for the steering gear which in turn required loosening and raising the engine - didn't want to do all of that. I'll place the new left lower control arm (minus the ball joint) in the trunk of the car. THANKS SOUTHERNGALAXIE! I'm considering removing the driver's door - it can't close - and tape it off with plastic for shipping as well as all of the other busted windows. YOUTUBE VIDEO I started the engine and did a walk-around. I uploaded the video to youtube: http://youtu.be/8FIblVn5vTc Does eBay allow hyperlinks? If not the link is: yutu dot be / 8FIBLVN5VTC - add http colon forward-slash forward-slash, replace "dot" with a period, remove the spaces, hopefully that'll get you there. Thanks for looking. Call me if you have any additional questions: 334-477-4146. Update: 12/18/2014 12:38pm I have some authentic Carroll Shelby signed items that will go with a full price offer for this car. I have uploaded pictures - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - These items will NOT come with the car, other than with a FULL PRICE OFFER or Buy-It-Now Items that I have: - Official Carroll Shelby Signed Brass Dash Plaque. This item is engraved with the VIN of this vehicle and has Carroll Shelby's handwritten signature on it. - Picture Attached This item is mounted to a bracket that fixes it to the console of the car. It's a bit soiled because it was splattered with coffee in the accident, other than that it's immaculate. I had to only wipe it with a soft cotton or microfiber cloth to remove dust. - A certificate of Authenticity for the Dash Plaque with this vehicle's VIN on it and Carroll Shelby's signature (I can't tell if the signature on this item is printed or handwritten). - Picture Attached - A wall certificate with this vehicles VIN on it and Carroll Shelby's handwritten signature, suitable for framing. - Picture Attached. - A certificate of authenticity with the Shelby Registry line number entry for this car and (I think) for signed items for this car. - The invoice where I ordered the items from Shelby American. - The original window sticker items when I brought the car on January 4, 2011. READ READ READ - The above listed items will come with the car for a FULL PRICE OFFER or BUY-IT-NOW. These items will NOT be automatically provided with a "Make Offer" purchase. READ READ READ Update: 12/16/2014 8:38pm A coworker brought it to my attention that I had not posted any pictures of the engine. I posted pictures of the engine. I would also like to note: Prior to the accident the car was always garage kept; it had never been in the rain, and only spent 3 overnights outside. All of the windows are busted (except the rear side windows), but the car has not been rained in. I have it covered. You can see in one of the pictures I posted the left front tire is removed. I am in the process replacing the lower control arm that has the broken ball joint. I bought the lower control arm from Ford for $145.00 to facilitate easier moving of the car in my driveway. Removing the bolts in the steering gearbox is proving quite a challenge - I have to raise the steering gearbox approx. 1.5" to remove the forward bolt of the lower control arm. If this car does not sell, my brother and I plan to build a Super Cobra Jet. We'll order all the necessary parts from ford to assemble a proper 2012 Super Cobra Jet, and offer that for sale with this engine untouched, but offer the Cobra Jet connecting rods, cams and heads (and other necessary internal engine parts) - perhaps the buyer to obtain the proper Supercharger for the Cobra Jet engine - this would be a $60-$85K offering. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wrecked - Insurance Totaled. T-Boned, Side impact. Driver's airbag deployed, driver's side airbag deployed. Left lower control-arm ball joint broken. Body very likely cannot be repaired. The aluminum 5.4L Supercharged engine is completely unharmed, as well as the TREMEC 6-Speed Transmission and the 3.73 8.8-in rearend. Brembo brakes, all electronics - Saker 500 stereo system, navigation system, all interior is fine. The car had 9594.5 miles on it at the accident - it still had the new-car smell.
