This 1987 Honda ATC is the Pinnacle of any collection. There were basically no 1987s produced, this one slipped through the cracks and got sold to a owner of Honda shop on September 17, 1986 when they were starting to chop ATCs up. The owner knew what he got away with and it was his pride and joy and loved showing it off. It was babied!! It was estimated to have 10-15 hours on it and they were in a small town Nebraska Parade on the 4th of July. Red,White and Blue!! It was stored in a heated garage and only uncovered to show it off. He passed on and I was turned on to it by friends and had heard the story and had to have it, as I had grown up on these and just love them. To me I knew what I had and owned another one to ride. So to me, I knew the find I had and it was basically a show piece and time capsule that I would never sell or take out and risk damaging. To me it was also a investment and conversation piece. I just loved showing it to friends and swaping ATC stories. It had been sitting and I thought it would be best if it was untouched by me and I never tried to start it. It Basically looks Near New!! There a few light scratches in the plastic and on the rims, Very Light!! The Calipers are Clean, Metal shines like new!! The seat and gas Tank Look Perfect. No Fading with a Great Shine, these pics are the 1st time its been out of heated garage and seen sun or water. My plan was to make Glass Bar around it by the Pool table. I guess things happen and something I thought id never sell im putting on to buy Christmas presents and to move to Colorado.
