Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a rust-free 1956 Ford Customline with just over 21,140 original miles (not 121,140). I believe I am the second owner. I've owned the car for about 4 years. The original owner had it repainted all green with he green in the picture. H had Wimeldon White added and it great improved the curb appeal. I always get plenty of thumbs up when driving it. I drive it quite regularly to keep it running smoothly, which it does. Before applying the white, the repaint green was emoved to avoid excessive paint layers which only shortens the paint's life. It has a 3 speed column shift with a working overdrive. The interior was reupholstered before my purchase. It is not original, but it's a smart looking short velour that fits the car's color scheme. The carpet is green with some fading around the pedals. It is an easy ca to drive and a fun car to drive. I've done the following since ownership: - new radiator (I ruined the bottom outlet of the original while replacing the hose) - new radiator & heater hoses as well as thermostat - new wheel cylinders & shoes (this year) - new mase cylinder (this year) with - new stop light switch - new front brake hoses (this year) - new fuel pump - new plugs, wires, points, rotor, condenser, cap, coil & resistor - 4 new Cooper radials + front end alignment (this year) - replaced carburetor with rebuilt from Dennis Carpenter Ford Parts - new original type wiper arms & blades from Dennis Carpenter The following do not work: - clock - radio - heater (blower works, but either a clogged heater core or bad water valve) This car is in exellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. It does not smoke, it tracks extremely straight with no wander and the front end is consistently tight with a low mileage car. Car comes with proper bumper jack & lug wrench, original Bill of Sale, original owner's manual, a copy of the initial Tenn. title request and a few spare parts. There is no rust as you can see from the undercarriage pics. There is a surface paint blemish below the trunk lid driver's side. My tire guys commented on how straight the body is underneath. I have tried to list the details of the car to the best of my ability. The sale is final. PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF PURCHASING. This car has been sold 2 times and both buyers backed out immediately at auction's end. If you have any other questions do not hesitae to call me (828)557-8478. leave a message if I don't answer & I will return your call. I reserve the right to ewnd the auction at anytime if I sell the car outside of auction or for any other reason. No warranties are expressed nor implied. I have done my best to be honest. My feedback rating is 100% +. I've tried to let you know any flaws. They are all minor. You're welcome to inspect at any mutually agreed time.
