Decent condition and current registration. Good Michelin tires and runs excellent. Canvas in good shape and everything works. Even has the extra roll out shade above the slider door. Bid soon and often because newer vans like this are hard to find. VW made this poptop style from 1993 to 2003 so this was one of the last years made and with only 115,000 miles it has many many years of use ahead of it. It has a Pioneer am/fm/cd removable face stereo. I have also ordered and just received new pull shades for the interior as the sink shade and rear passenger shade are okay but don't stay up by themselves. For just $60 each I figured it could use some updating. I even have a new slider door shade now but the old one works fine so you have a backup. I also have new white outside vent caps coming and have also purchased a new oem orignal front and rear mat set. Please do a bit of pricing research before bidding. I would think if you are seeing this ad you already know what these VW Camper vans are worth. Keep in mind this is not a 1993 or 1994 or 1995 or 1996 or 1997 or 1998 or 1999. It is newer than all 7 of those vans so bid accordingly. These campers hold their value and are even going up in price each year. I am a small dealer here in Southern California and bought this to use as my personal camper. If you buy this and want to fly to my area to pick it up choose John Wayne Santa Ana Airport and I can pick you up. Also if you win the auction don't forget to add salestax to you budget. As a dealer I collect this if you are a Calif. resident. If you live out of Calif. then I do not collect this. You would pay salestax anyways from a private party but many people do not realize this until they go to their local dmv and then wonder "wow that was more than I thought it'd be to register this". That is because the dmv collects salestax also. This camper would make a great mini vacation for you and with gas prices approaching just $2 per gallon would be a cheap drive too, even if you are on the East Coast! My family owns an RV storage business so if you need me to store this for you while you plan your trip here if you are out of town I can do so for up to 30 days. The title is a California title and was a Volkswagen Dealer buy back under our state's lemon law. This is a rarely used law that says if you buy a new vehicle and come across a pesky problem that the dealer just cannot seem to fix after multiple attempts (3 I believe) you can return it and get your money back. This was done in 2002 so whatever repair was done it is obviously fine now. I have seen people only "complain loudly" but enough to get their money back. Often on a popular vehicle like this the selling dealer would rather satisfy an unhappy customer, even if they only have buyer's remorse. They then just resell the camper after repairing it. I am not sure what the fix was but the camper runs perfectly fine now. The real beauty of these VW Eurovan Campers is that they fit into your garage. You actually have a real RV with stove, refrigerator, enough room to sleep 4 or even 5 people yet you can drive it to work as a regular vehicle. It is especially popular for families with children who play sports because you can relax with the top up and tables out in between games instead of baking (or freezing depending on where you live) on the bleachers. Also you have your own refrigerator and stove so you and your kids can avoid the overpriced snack bar.
