1971 Opel GT This car has been relisted to update the add/photos. Up for sale is a 1971 Opel GT. This is a two owner Alabama car. 98% rust free, a true survivor with only 38k miles. The car has had damage on the left front at one time. The car has been mostly repainted with base/clear but the jams are original paint. Everything works except the original Delco radio and the gas gauge. Has a new Webber carburetor but the original Solex carb. comes with the sale. Still has the original spare tire. The interior is extremely nice for its age. The dash has no cracks, the door panels are near perfect, the headliner/visors are perfect, all buttons/knobs/switches are present and in very good condition. We removed the driver seat/carpet and spare tire to provide photos of the floor pans and the tail light panel. These pics show no rust and provide proof that the car has original metal in the rear. All of the original keys/owners manual/service manual etc. are included. The lights, door handles, emblems and gas cap are all very nice. The bumpers are in great condition expect one rust spot on the right bumperette. The is also a small amount of rust at the battery box. The engine is a 1.9L with 4 speed manual trans. The engine/trans are very smooth and quiet throughout the entire rpm range. The exhaust system has been re[placed at one time and is in very good condition. The fuel tank has also been refurbished. Recently, the brakes have been completely rebuilt, new tie rod ends installed and has had a fresh service/tune up (front to rear) and alignment. I own an automotive detail shop in Birmingham. This car came from a customer that lost his storage. More pictures are available upon request. The buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping arrangements and payment. Payment is expected within 48 hrs. of the purchase. The car must be picked up 7 days after the auction ends. After 7 days you will be charged $30 a day for inside storage.
