Vehicle Detail
I have a 2003 Mercedes E500 that I purchased wrecked. The car starts right up and pretty much everything seems to work, but it does need a little more love to be a road ready daily driver. The car took a front impact, I replaced the core support, radiator, electric fan, bumper, and coolant hoses, all of these replacement parts are genuine Mercedes parts. Also I replaced the battery, hood, right fender, front bumper cover, and headlights. The headlights are OEM quality with self leveling and I retained the original HID lights and the lights are 2009 style with the fins on the turn signals. The front bumper cover is the 2009 E63 AMG bumper and I got the 2009 style grill as well. The car stock has 17" wheels, but I have a spare set of 18" staggered wheels from my other car that I will give you with this car. The passenger airbag did deploy, but I purchased a replacement bag and a replacement upper dash board to replace it, both are OEM mercedes. I can start the car up and drive it around the neighborhood, the air ride suspension operates properly, the engine runs well, transmission shifts properly, it is very close to being a nice car, but I bought this car a month before I moved to PA so I am not able to complete the repair of the car. There is absolutely no existing structural damage on this car, the frame was undamaged and the inner fenders were undamaged. I paid 2900 for the car and I spent 3000 dollars on repair parts, I know I'm going to lose money on this car and I am okay with this. So the car, this is a 2003 Mercedes E500 Sport. It has the 5.0 V8 engine and 5 Speed automatic transmission, the car has great power. It has black leather interior that is in pretty good shape, with the exception of currently having a huge hole in the dash. Panoramic roof, harmon kardon radio, power everything. What still needs done, I can't say 100% for sure what all still needs done because since buying this car I have only seen it 2 times, but here is what I know. The AC will not turn on, I checked the lines and they have plenty of pressure. the condenser was never removed or damaged in the accident. I'm not sure why it won't turn on, I haven't checked fuses or anything. The airbag and dash pad need installed. The service engine light is on, one component of the engine was damaged in the accident for the secondary air injection, the sensor is less than 40 dollars online for genuine mercedes, I just found out that this was damaged over the thanksgiving weekend when i saw the car. I think the right valve cover is leaking oil, it smoked from the right side when i started it up. The car isn't started very often, so I don't know how bad the leak is. I'm sure there are other random little things, but if you are good with cars then it wouldn't take much to have this on the road. If you have any questions at all feel free to ask, I do know a lot about this car, and I can get information about it. Message here or text 3179087928 with questions
