robbhurst Store 2001 VW Beetle GLS 1.8 Turbo with Sunroof! We are selling my daughters bug to raise funds for college. We were the 2nd owners and bought the car from a family friend in 2012. Car had 99,275 miles when we bought it. We put a restored engine in and car now has 120,633 miles. Total miles on this engine is 21,358. This is the turbo bug and it really scoots. Selling because we can't/don't want to put the money into the car to get it in good running shape. She may not need a car at college so I would rather keep the funds for tuition. It runs right now but starts running hot after about 15 minutes. Local garage says it is going to need head gasket work soon so we are selling. I am selling this car "as-is". It is a 2001 so there are several little things here and there. I took pics. Body is in good shape except passenger side mirror is cracked up.
