1965 Mustang Fastback GT350 R recreation. This vehicle started life as a 289 2 barrell 4 speed car, but the original drive train is long gone. It was replaced with a proffesionally built 289 equipped with ported 5.0 heads, SVO roller rockers, Comp Cams thumper camshaft, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrell carb putting power to the ground through a 1967 toploader 4 speed with a new clutch and shifted with a complete new Hurst competition plus shifter. The vehicle has new Tri Y headers and R code style exhaust, new torque thrust style wheels and tires. The brake system has been gone through by replacing all the steel/rubber lines and master cylinder. The vehicle was intended to resemble a race car for the street which includes the R code exterior front valance, upper rivet on panels, fuel cell and trunk latch delete kit. The interior was done in the same manner by using the rear seat delete shelf, white face gauges, sport bucket seast with blue stitching and GT350 style steering wheel. In keeping with the R code theme the car has a aluminuum fuel cell and electric fan. The factory buckets and exterior louvers will be included with the car in case that is the desired style.
