I purchased this GMC truck in early 2008 to tow my 15,000 pound 5th wheel to Florida during the winter months. I ordered the GMC with chrome running boards, a Zibart spray on truck bed liner, a tonneau cover, factory trailering wiring and hitch, a removeable Reese 16k fifth wheel hitch in the bed. I replaced the original tires with Michelen tires a few years ago and they are still in great condition and look new with very few miles on them. It has not been driven in the Michigan winters so it has not been exposed to road salt. GM replacaed all of the interior cloth seat components in 2010 because I was unhappy with the material in the original cloth. They replaced all of the 36 part numbers of the seats, console, etc with a 2010 model material which is a real improvement and no longer collects lint. I have never had a mechanical problem with this truck. I purchased a set of WeatherTech front floor covers which has protected the floor carpet since they were installed. It has been a great vehicle to pull my fifth wheel and handles the wind really well. It has a lot of power for the hills and I used the transmission manual mode to help slow during coasting to a stop. I continually got about 15 miles per gallon. It has had no problems with the brakes or engine or transmission. It has been reliable since I owned it and has never let me down. This diesel model is pre Deff additive like on the newer models, which means you do not have to mess with the DEF additives which are a pain in the butte. I have maintained it regularly and will change the oil one last time and have it detailed before delivered. It has never been an accident or had any repairs to the body. People say it still looks like new. It is the best vehicle I have ever owned.
