Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my short box fleet side 1965 Chevy c-10 pickup. The nice patina look body is very strait with no accidents, but a little hit on the front bumper that could be pulled. There is a little body rust on the front lower doors on the left and right side. The doors line up great and close very well. The Bed of this truck is in the best shape that I've seen, I've been asked if I would sell the bed only, lol. The bed is covered in plywood, cause of rotted slats. The original color is green, you can see the color behind the rear bumper. The motor currently is an inline 6 cylinder, I believe to be a 230. In the morning I pull the choke, and prime the motor with a little gas from the air cleaner to get it started. After the the truck is wormed up it runs great around town and on the freeway. It will start on its own with out priming the carburetor all day after the first start in the morning. One cylinder is missing, maybe cause of a tune up or a rebuild, but it runs good. The transmission was converted, (from 3 on the tree) to a 350 Turbo automatic and shifts well. Included with this auction is a great running 327 small block. This 327 small block has a rebuilt Edelbrock carburetor, and headers are included. most of the motor (generator, pulleys, belts) are all there. The rear end is off a 1972 automatic pick up, so the gears work well on the freeway, and around town. The muffler now is very quiet and sounds smooth, like they where from factory. The interior is in great shape, The seat springs are in great shape and feels nice. The door panels, glove box, and lower air vents where chromed. There's a hole on the tranny hump on the floor board, I believe that there was once a stick shift installed. I bought the truck 15 years ago and it came with an aftermarket sunroof, but I have with this auction a top and bottom roof panels to be welded if you like, back on the cab. I wanted to cover the sunroof cause it leaks, cause of age of the sunroof. The suspension ride very smooth, and the brakes work as they should. The rear tire are with good tread, but the fronts can use some new tires in couple thousand miles. I've described my 1965 Chevy Pickup the best I could. It's an old truck but this would be the perfect project for a Street Rod, Rat Rod, or just keep it original. If you have any questions, I'll try to answer them the best I can. Thank you and happy bidding.
