Up for Bid is possibly the LOWEST MILEAGE 1982 Turbo 280ZX in the Country. ONLY 5,830 original documented mileage!!!VIN #JN1CZ04S1CX62369. Wasn't able to load the VIN for a CARFAX. So it's listed here for you to do your own research. The car has a clean and clear Texas title, and is a TRUE SURVIVOR car. Anybody who knows these cars knows that the Turbo cars got trashed pretty quick due to abuse so very few examples survive today with it's original equipment much less working perfectly. This car is currently owned by a 90 year old lady who has owned the car since 1983. Her husband bought it for her from the first owner as a anniversary present. They were avid car collectors and had an amazing collection of over 30 cars. After her husband passed away in 2010 the collection was disposed of, and she hung onto this amazing 280zx that was a gift from him. Unfortunately due to health issues, and stupid Obamacare lack of coverage she is having to come up with a lot of out of pocket cost to get the health care that is required. The only few issues this car has is some minor rust bubbling up at the top of the windshield which was caused because a leak had developed in the car in 1987, and after taking it to a shop to have the leak fixed the shop broke that factory glass. They replaced the glass but scratched the paint around the window, didn’t seal it, and thus it slowly started what you see in the photo. The good news is that what you see is surface and doesn’t go through the metal. The other thing wrong with this car is the hatchback hydraulic rods need to be replaced. The car was involved in a fender bender in 1982 with only 550 miles on the odometer and was repaired by purchasing a whole new FACORY right front fender and fixing the car with that. At the same time a period correct aftermarket deck lid spoiler was added, as well as a front air damn. The Catalogue that those parts were ordered from in 1983 is still inside the car (pretty cool). Everything else on the car is factory original. Some even rare factory options I was told like the tail light center panel which says Turbo 280ZX. The good is everything else. Runs and drives great. I was fortunate enough to be able to drive the car to a local parking lot for these photo’s. The first time it’s seen road use in 15 years when the car was taken from storage at their place of business to their home garage. It ran great drove great, and the Turbo worked flawlessly. Spooled right up and what a blast when that kicked in. The interior is amazing and show room perfect. Like sitting in a Turbo 280ZX back in the showroom back in 1982. Really! The leather is soft and pliable with no scratch, rips, tears, or fading. The carpet is clean and like new from front to back. The headliner is mint, as well as the gauges, clock, radio, etc… on the dash. The Air Conditioning works, as well as everything else, as it should with a car with this many miles. The T-tops have never been off the car, and all the gaskets are soft and good as well. The tires are only a few years old as her husband changed the tires on the car every four years whether it needed them or not. The current owner starts the car weekly, and has all fuel drained and replaced with fresh fuel every six months. I know I’ve been taking care of the car since her husbands death in 2010.
