Up for sale is this 1970 Chevy C10 Long Bed 1/2 ton pick up . 307 Engine with a 3 speed Saginaw transmission . I am the second owner of the vehicle my neighbor bought the truck brand new in 1970 and has only been in South Carolina. The owner stated that he rebuilt the motor at 100,000 miles .This is a very solid truck outside-inside and underneath . I bought the truck with the intentions of restoring it but no longer have the funds . This truck has been sitting in a barn for years till I bought it in 2013. I have replaced the following parts : Radiator with new hold down supports and pads - Water Pump - Thermostat with new Ant-freeze - Battery - Valve cover gaskets - Gas tank filler neck grommet - Fuel sending unit - Chrome dome light - Both right and left door handles - Carburetor - and a Clutch kit with Kevlar facing from AMS Automotive . This truck is all original except for the original owner installed a CB Antenna on top on the roof and they cut the original radio opening to fit a new style radio. Here is what I found that has to be replaced or fixed . Needs all four shocks - windshield has no cracks but has sun damage on sides from sun - Seat needs to be replaced or redone - The carburetor needs a chock thermostat - Steering wheel has cracks in it. There is a small hole in the bed on the upper right side , there was a tool box that was on it and there were leaves just sitting under there . Again this truck is very solid and have a lot of potential. On Nov-19-14 at 12:31:32 PST, seller added the following information: I am so sorry for my spelling , the carburetor needs a choke thermostat and needs exhaust work . I also removed the gas tank to get it cleaned out and as you can see from the photo's the cab corners and rockers are solid and the original jack is still there .Again this is a very solid truck with original paint , the engine compartment is very clean .
