This is a very rare 2 door 1960 Oldsmobile Super 88 that I just recently purchased. I do not know much about this vehicle nor its history. I do have a clear title for this vehicle and dates back to 1987. That is when the car was transferred to the husband as the wife was deceased. The car was found inside a detached garage and from the condition of the garage, I am guessing that the car must have been sitting for at least 30 years. The last plates on the car were dated from 1969. Overall the body is pretty straight and I believe all of the trim, except for the grill, is still there and in pretty good shape. I do not have the grill. The car is solid . It doesn't seem that it was ever in an accident. Even though the car was stored inside a garage with a concrete slab, moisture still seeped thru the floor as probably there wasn't any vapor barrier in the concrete. Therefore, all of the underneath is covered with rust. However, the floors are still solid. The doors have no rot at the bottom and still open and close very solidly. Hinges seem OK. The worst part of the car is the trunk. The trunk does have rot and holes. Please see pictures for overall condition. Most of the glass is in good shape except for the front windshield and passenger door and vent window. These are busted. The engine is there but it is stuck. The sparkplugs were missing and the carburetor was loosely placed on top of the manifold. From a quick glance, you can tell that the radiator and generator are missing. I am assuming someone took them and sold them as scrap. The car does roll, so it can be put on a trailer. I do not have any keys for this vehicle. The interior seems to be all there. Please view all the pictures and do not hesitate in asking me questions. I'll try to answer them the best I can. If I had the space, I would keep this vehicle. I would require a non refundable deposit of $200 within 24 hours of end of auction using Paypal, with remaining amount in cash due at pickup. I would like for the vehicle to be picked up within two weeks after auction ends. If you require more time please let me know before auction ends. The car is sold as is, with no warranties implied.
