im putting up for auction my 1953 ford customline club coupe/ fairlane 2 door. I was going to make a rat rod or a gasser out of it but i'm not going to be able to get to it due to loss of storage space so here it is.. car is pretty solid overall, i found it sitting in a storage garage where it had been for the past 30 years or so according to the previous owner. I can tell you that it is covered in heavy dust so I believe his story.. all glass is in tact and NONE OF IT IS BROKEN!! windows roll up and down but will need to be lubed, doors open and close decently, floors had been replaced sometime in the 70's 0r 80's and seem to be very solid, the passenger side rocker panel will need some help(or not if your doing a rat rod),the quarters had some custom work(see pics)probably done the same time as the floors to give them the appearance of scoops, the trunk lock was shaved and smoothed over(see pics)and a release was installed on the inside and works well also custom taillights were done.. the car has no motor but DOES still have the original 3-speed on the column with the pedals still there(see pics),no drive shaft, original rear, and the car rolls well.. brakes will need work, the hood is not bolted on but will be secured for transport, the fenders are on the car with just a few bolts and screws but are VERY stable for transport, you will need to go over them and permanately secure them before you put it on the road.. the interior is missing the seats and rear interior panels but the DASHBORD IS UNTOUCHED AND COMPLETE!!!most of the original wiring is there as far as I can tell,overall its a pretty solid complete car that would be an easy RAT ROD build!!!I HAVE THE ORIGINAL CLEAR NJ TITLE DATED JAN.14,1955 FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AFTER HE PAID IT OFF!!!!VERY COOL DOCUMENT!!!,i also have the original keys for it..car comes will most of the trim, hubcaps, original taillight lenses and 2 extra wheels for the car(see pics).the car is being sold as is with no reserve to the highest bidder, I require a $500 non refundable deposit via paypal 24 hours after the auction ends and balance due upon pick up of the vehicle..vehicle must be picked up within 1 week after auction ends unless prior arrangements are made..you are welcome to come and check it out in person before, during, or after you bid/win vehicle,it is being stored in a well lit garage space so day or night its no problem.. SHIPPING IS THE BUYERS RESPONSIBILITY but I can help in loading the vehicle if need be.
