For Sale we have a 2005 BMW X5 4.8IS AWD. This truck came to us in a trade for a Porsche. The truck runs and drives like a dream SUV. It handles unbelievably good, plenty of horsepower, lots of torque. This truck was originally sold in Florida and it lived in Florida until 2010. At 12-28-13 AAMCO. Transmissions of Norwalk CT rebuilt the tranny so the tranny shifts perfect with no issues. At 5-23-14 BMW of Darien just recently inspected the truck and the truck is ready to go to its new owner! 4.8L engine starts right up and it sounds very healthy and solid with no issues and plenty of power, I have test driven all the major players in the SUV category and this remains the best for those that do not plan to drive off road. Do Not confuse this vehicle with the much more pedestrian 3.0 4.4 or current 4.8. Thi is the what I would call the "M" of the SUV line and the steering, suspension and brakes were all seriously massaged by either the M group or Alpina to make this vehicle handle and drive like no other truck to date. The Porsche is impressive, but huge unsprung weight assures that it will never have the nimble, car-like fell of this vehicle. The outside body of the SUV is in great shape and the paint still shines like day one. The interior is in good shape as well. The truck is loaded with lots of options. Everything works as it should. A/C is cold, heat is warm, Xenon lights, navigation works as it should, cluster pixels are fading like any other bmw cluster that i've seen, easy repair of $90. The tires are in excellent shape with lots of tread remaining on them. Over all an excellent and clean running 4.8iS!
