Vehicle Detail
This car is a true time capsule! This is a 1931 Model A coupe that was hot rodded between 1958 and 1962, driven for a few years, then stored until recently. It has many of the normal for the period modifications. The engine is a 1940 flathead V8, with a 1939 top shift 3 speed transmission. 1947 Ford hydraulic brakes were installed front and rear, it has an old banjo steering wheel, the roof was filled, and the interior was done in red/white vinyl. It has old headers with dual exhaust. The body is in really great (unrestored) condition. Other than the roof being filled, it doesn't appear to have ever had any real body work done. It has some dents/dings that were actually just painted over back when it was built. The paint job is poor at best, and it is over 50 years old now, but doors and trunk all shut good, and all glass is there. Although not on the car, I do also have the hood sides. The car actually does run and drive very well. (for a 83 year old car anyway) Other than repairing the brakes, suspension, and getting the motor running after being stored so long, the only real modification done was converting the car to 12 volt, re-wiring it, and adding temp/oil gauges. All lights, gauges, and horn work. It still has the 50+ year old tires on it, and they are in surprisingly good shape, and don't leak. The interior is in really good shape, and the car has a roll down rear window. I do have a clear Nebraska title in my name, and also copies of previous titles going back to the 1950's showing history of the car. Please contact me with any questions! Thanks! Nathan 402-813-5312.
