1963 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

VIN shows it as early 64, but it's titled as a 63. This car is rough, but is complete except for no engine. I just acquired this along with a couple other bugs. We already have a small window and I have too many projects. The car was last registered about 30 years ago. According to the PO, the car has been in covered storage for decades, but it has its share of rust. I REALLY want you to look it over if possible. Have not gone over it really well, but will tell you what I know. No engine - has a nice pope nose deck lid Original interior - kind of rough. Headliner is gross. Dash was not cut. Does not appear to have been hit. Floor condition is questionable. Poking with a screwdriver - it seems the drivers side may be OK - front of passenger side may also be OK, but the rear passenger side is definately bad - surprise surpsise. Without pulling up the mats and tarboard, I don't know for sure Patch panels on one rocker. Lower A and B pillars have patches on same side. Doors are pretty good, but will need some work on bottoms - not rotted out, but a little rough. Front apron is pretty good - may not need replaced, but bottom where tire sits has patches. Rear apron is pretty good. Rear bumper mount areas are very rough. Has been patched on the lower rear quarters. Had a repaint at some point. Has 4 smoothie wheels. If I was redoing it - I would figure that the one heater channel may need replaced. There is a clean title for the car. I may have some additional parts available, such as a black interior kit and possible some other odds and ends. Car is a roller - Not sure if I would flat tow really far, but I would feel pretty comfortable towing it a couple hours. Tires are not real bad and are holding air fine. Car is located 8 miles east of State College, PA.
