Vehicle Detail
1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye 318 Auto. I've owned this car for 24 years, once was my everyday driver. The car is unrestored, the body has rust in the lower panels so both lower quarters, and rust above the driver side fender needs to be repaired, the fender was replaced at some point and they forgot to put the splash shield back in, dirt packed in over the headlight, the rest of the fender is good. Both doors have a rust hole in them, truck floor is good. The car is a 318 Rallye, one of 6,000 made. I rebuilt the original 318 engine a few years back and it has some miles on it, engine is .030 over, balanced and blueprinted, mild cam, Edelbrock Performer intake, with a Ed Hamburger prepared TQ carb, hi volume oil pump, windage tray, basically same hardware as a 340, Ported 318 heads with hardened seats to run on today's crappy no lead gas, 9:1 comp, adjustable rockers, I built the motor to be an everyday driver with some power and to get reasonable gas mileage. 3:23 rear with 8 3/4 axle. Car is loaded for it's year, Dodge offered 318 Rallye's this year, which is the first year they offered this option, in 72 the Rallye's were available with 340 cu. in. engine only, it has all the stuff the 340's had, just with a 318 instead. It has front and rear sway bars, Rallye gauges with 150 speedo and tach, factory fender side scoops and strobe stripes, etc. dual mirrors, factory luggage rack or dish rack as some people call it, car has A/C, Pwr disc brakes, Pwr steering, Factory Road Wheels, Factory electronic Ign, AM-FM radio, with five speaker system, rear fader and crossover, light package, map light, cruise control, under hood light, R/T hood. Car is complete and everything is all there. Car has factory type dual exhaust with resonators and mufflers, and tips, probably a couple of holes in the over axle pipes. Car has hard to find 70 340 exhaust manifolds installed, Trans is a 904 with a shift kit. Three core radiator has just been rebuilt, Gold with a white interior, drivers seat has a few rips and I have a new seat kit for the passenger seat. Car can drive anywhere, just would need the old tires replaced, Car has been sitting a while and the a/c has leaked out it's freon, but the A/C did work when car was parked. Car has clear title. Note: shipping is additional, I can arrange shipping, but would prefer if you can do it. Not an expert in this area so I will have to shop around for the best rates if I do this. I will send final invoice to buyer if I ship it.On Oct-26-14 at 13:01:18 PDT, seller added the following information: 1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye 318 Auto. Car has clear title and odometer say's 39,440 miles, probably been around a couple times. Update on trunk floor, floor is not good, water must have got under the mat while sitting for the last few years and rusted the floor, replacement truck floors are available. Driver seat adjuster was broken in pic, I had replaced it today. Oil has been changed, if car is going to be driven away, I can add tires and have alignment checked for an additional amount.
