Up for sale is a 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Sting Ray 327-350hp 4 Speed. SURVIVOR First Year for This Body Style, Great car for restoration. #s Matching Engine and Trans.This 1968 Corvette Convertible was recently pulled out of a garage it had been sitting in since 2001. Car has not seen the road since then. Other than getting the years of dust off the car and getting it to start and run (replaced carb, clean fuel line and new fuel tank), nothing has been touched on the car since it was put into storage in 2001This car has the numbers matching engine and trans. Engine VIN# 18S421870 327-350hp 4 Speed Rochester 4BBl Carb, Special CamCasting # 3914678.Car was repainted in early 1990s to black, was originally British green from factory. Body does have scratches and some old repairs. Body does look good for its age. Frame is very solid no rot, birdcage looks good. Frame only has some surface patina from sitting.Interior in in decent shape, there are some cracks in the seat backs. Drivers seat has a tear in it. All interior is original to this car. Car has both tops. Hard top has vinyl top, has some places where vinyl is ripped in corners (pictured), convertible top is out of car and does not have the fabric on it (pictures).Car does run and move, but has weak brakes and you will need a trailer or transport to pick up car. It is not drivable on the road. We did have to put a new tank in the car and a new carb. Tank is from Corvette central. (we have original tank still to go with car. but is very rusty inside) Carb is a Holley 650. We have saved the original carb that was on the car when we picked it up.Car is Available for inspection by appointment.
