Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1993 Ford "Tank" E-350 Work Van that has served me well for the last 7 years, and is still running and ready to work for its new owners. The only reason I am selling this van is that I need a larger box van to transport larger equipment that the van cannot do. This Van has a one ton rear end and an 8 lug rear and the front two tires have a bout 15% life left, but the rear has one new tire and one almost new tire. The vehicle has been maintained and has passed a very stringent NY State Safety and Emissions inspection only a few hundred miles ago, and much work has been done recently to make this baby work well. The vehicle sports an almost new battery, all new transmission cooler lines and a new transmission cooler, new front and rear brake pads and rotors all around and new calipers on the front axel. The engine has recently been tuned up about 1000 miles ago, and every fluid, all spark plugs, hoses, the starter, all filters and a new blower motor have all been installed. I recently completed a few days ago a round trip of over 200 miles back and forth to Connecticut, where the truck now is, and it ran well. What's really great about this truck is that there are no windows on the extended body and there is also a heavy duty lock assembly as well to protect your valuable cargo. The interior has a good passenger seat, but the drivers seat is cracked up but has a seat cover. Both seat belts work as they should and so does the horn as well. The engine starts and runs well however there is a manifold leak on the passenger side that gets amplified on hard acceleration, and this could easily be patched up by a local qualified exhaust man. The body is pretty straight but has a few dents and some rust areas near the wheel wells, but on the whole is presentable for over a 20 year old truck. The transmission is excellent and runs and shifts as it should, and when pushed this truck can haul a lot of weight, and still get decent mileage. All in all its a over 20 year old truck that runs and drives and can haul your goods safely and efficiently, and some minor cosmetic defects that do not compromise its utility transport value. In addition most recently I have noticed that the factory installed radio does not power on, the new heater blower works intermittently and only on high, and the 12v socket for the power to the cell phone jack is not working so it probably is something minor or a fuse. Also, the front left shock mount is loose and will have to be welded in the near future, but it really does not affect drivability, and passed inspection. This truck is an excellent value for a contractor that wants an extended body with barn doors on the side and rear opening doors in the back and has the security of no windows to hide their belongings in the cargo bay area. It is being offered at no reserve at $1000.00 and the parts on this running truck are worth more than the whole, as rear ends and transmissions alone are going for more combined.
