Just Lowered Opening BID C'MON People this car IS GOING TO SELL....But don’t lose it to someone else for a few hundred dollars, with a very good “Buy it Now” price I think that’s the way it is going to sell…either way someone’s going to get it and cheap at that. THE CARFAX IS PASTED BELOW THE DESCRIPTION…KEEP SCROLLING DOWN! As you can tell by the pics this vehicle was a GEICO fleet vehicle from the upstate NY area with highway miles. The car was wrapped (since removed) and as a result it is incredibly clean and for the most part devoid of the usual chips, dings, and scratches normally associated with a 5 year old 100K plus mile car. The “dark” side of car wraps are that if they are not done PERFECTLY they can lead to water/moisture pooling in certain areas on the vehicle. In the pics you will see on the front driver’s side door a “quarter sized” rust spot at the bottom of the door. In a second photo you can see at the passenger side rear wheel well there is paint just beginning to bubble. Both of these spots can and should be sanded down, treated, primed and painted because otherwise the car really is perfect, and these are at an age where they have been “caught” in plenty of time. ALL OF THE CAR’S FLAWS ARE EITHER IN PICS AND/OR NOTED IN LISTING…I value my feedback and deliver quality vehicles! I drove it home several hundred miles from the auction and it ran great, I did see that the brake rotors were getting way past their prime and decided to install ALL NEW BRAKE ROTORS AND SEMI-METALLIC BRAKE PADS ON ALL FOUR CORNERS! The 17” tires look almost new with a lot of tread life remaining, the rims are in great shape with little or no gauging and just need a little elbow grease to sparkle, basically…the car needs nothing except fuel and a new owner. Both keys (2 OEM sets) and all the manuals are present, the floor mats are gone but you can get a decent set here on eBay for under $30. There is a very slight worn spot on the driver’s seat fabric. , as a fleet vehicle it's just about the only area of the car that shows ANY wear because there were rarely passengers or objects being transported in the car. . Apparently I'm doing something right, maybe my cars sell too low or my feedback too positive but now my sales have been targeted by disreputable dealers on eBay, I have been hit with zero history and new account ghost bids for my last 3 auctions and I am now forced to block new eBay ID's that do NOT have PayPal accounts associated with them. Model OverviewThe 2009 Jeep Compass is powered by an economical 172-hp 2.4L 4-cylinder engine and comes with all-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission (CVT), The Compass offers a little more capability for rough roads and deep snow than some other crossover sport-utility SUVs; it has a ground clearance of 8.5 inches, along with a 21-degree approach angle and 32-degree departure angle--both good for negotiating steep inclines.The rear seats are split 60/40 and fold forward to expand cargo space.
