5 months ago I bought this van. Built what I needed in the back and took to the road. The last 4 months I have been travelling the united states. I overhauled the brakes and put a new radiator in it when I got it, and for 18,000km it hasn't skipped a beat. It is a 1984 beauty, running a gasoline V8 she has plenty of power when needed. Don't forget her age though, she does need to be treated with some tender love and care. Pushing this girl too hard is like asking your 90 year old grandma to cook you your favorite meal. Nostalgia, Joy and Pride are some emotions you'll experience when cranking this big bertha down the highway. Shes not the fastest or best looking, but she'll make you feel like you're living life on the edge! I now must go back to Australia and unfortunately can't take my love home with me. So hopefully she will be able to continue writing her incredible story with a new owner! Good Stuff - Fully set up for travelling, bed, water, cooker, ice cooler, on board power for phone charging and lights. - Comes with the two extra seats that I pulled out to fit the bed so if you're wanting to use this is a cargo van they're easily fitted back in. - Electrical System, Power Steering, Cooling System, Brakes and Starter Motor are all in excellent working order. She passed a safety when I bought her five months ago so I doubt she'll have any troubles passing one again. - No need for an emissions test due to her age. - Low Km's for a vehicle that's 30 years old - Turns heads everywhere you go Bad Stuff - No 30 year old vehicle is gonna be perfect right? - Exhaust leak, sounds like it's coming from under drivers seat. I've gotten used to it and in the last 6 weeks it hasn't gotten worse - Steering can wobble at about 70km/h. Sometimes it does it sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time you can drive through it and by 80km/h it's gone. I figure probably just the bearings need repacking - It either burns oil or leaks oil. I have been changing the oil every 8000km and have just had it done yesterday again. It doesn't drop any oil which makes me think it's burning. This is a great opportunity to pick up a classic old school van at a dirt cheap price.
