Vehicle Detail
Overview For sale is my 1994 BMW 325is. This vehicle has been in my family for years, was my father's car for the last 10, and was kept garaged the whole time. I believe it's been garaged it's whole life, as it has absolutely no body or frame rust at all, rare for a 20+ year old car. He's a lawyer and drove it soberly and sparingly. I've had it for about a year and driven it very little, but done a lot of work on it. The car has 100k miles on it, and drives great. It's pretty hard to find an E36 with such low miles. Engine is steady and responsive and idles well, steering is tight and responsive, clutch and shifter engage well. Has some exterior cosmetic dings, including a few small hail bumps, a scratch on the hood, two small ones on the right rear quarter, and a scuff on the left rear bumper. Paint is nice, holds shine, no rust present. Interior is in very good shape, no cracks in the leather. Headliner is perfect, but the sunroof headliner was sagging so I removed it. It's bare metal now, sunroof works perfectly, but you could get it redone if you want. AC works, blows decently cold, but could use a recharge eventually. Aftermarket stereo works well although the AUX jack is a bit finicky. Comes with a full set of All-Season tires on OEM BW 16" wheels. The flashy wheels and tires on it right now are street-performance oriented, and I planned to swap them out in the winter when roads around here get snowy and salty. You could do that, or just have 5 full size spare (one came OEM in the trunk!) Recent service and modifications I have done some recent work on the car that really enhances its value and long time durability. Roughly $2,000 has gone into the car in the last year, including: 4 Drag DR-37 17X7.5 5-120 42SML Wheels $4204 235/40ZR-17 Sumitomo HTR Z II Tires $400Koni STR T Street Shocks Front and Rear $400Turner Motorsports Front and Rear Shock/Strut Reinforcement Plates $100Oil change, new filter (less than 1K miles ago)Stabilizer Bar Bushing replacement $125E36 Clear Front/Rear turn signals $150The wheels, tires, and shocks make the car handle like its on rails, but the reinforcements are probably the most important change- E36 BMWs are notorious for having weak mounting points for the struts and shocks. Especially as the cars age, there can be a risk of catastrophic failure- basically the shock or strut punches through the floorboards and the car is toast. Getting this done means the car should run problem free (suspension-wise) for a long time coming. This is a 20 year car, and is in such good shape that you'd swear its only 10 years old. Still, its from 1994, when Here Comes The Hot Stepper was #1 on the charts (I checked), so please adjust expectations accordingly! Sad to see it go, very handsome, fun to drive car. Please ask me anything about the car, happy to arrange local test drives. For sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction whenever I choose.
