Vehicle Detail
Chassis No V8/10559/RCA Reg. Date: 01/01/1972 Transmission: Automatic 1972 ASTON MARTIN V8 SERIE 2 RESTORATION PROJECT This is a rare opportunity to buy a nice Aston Martin restoration project at a bargain price. There were only 288 Aston Martin V8 Serie 2 build. The strongest & fastest Aston Martin until the introduction of the 1977 Aston Martin V8 Vantage (the Serie 2 has about 15% more output than the later Serie 3). A lot of work & money has been spent: - Chassis overhaul (some work still left) - 20,000.00 has been spent on the chassis - New radiator - New oil cooler - Overhauled petrol tank (sandblasted, cleaned and painted) - Rear axle cleaned and painted - New front- & heated rear windows (costs lone 4,000.00) - New side mirrors - New complete rubber window/door seal set It is a nice original right-hand-drive Aston Martin. If someone if interested in a rhd/lhd conversion, I got an original Adwest lhd steering rack and lhd dashboard available (not included this listing). The Aston was complete before dismantling (see photographs with paint). - the exhaust system is not available. - the wheels are non original (see photographs). There may be minor parts missing, but should not, as the car was complete before dismantling; however, sold "as is". The car comes with two bonnets, the original Serie 2 and the Serie 3 (see photographs with paint, before dismantling). The original engine and Bosch fuel injection are completely overhauled by specialists BUT NOT INCLUDED THIS LISTING. Sold without engine & without Bosch fuel injection. You may inquire for engine & Bosch Fuel Injection separately. The interior, the windshield (front & rear) and radiator are in Heidelberg, Germany, with an upholstery specialist. The chassis and all other parts are in Wiltshire, UK. Not much history available but I was told that this car was belongs to a managing director of Aston Martin when the company name was “Company Developments”. The car has a Norwegian registration document. Sold “as is” and "were is" without guarantee or warranty. 14/10/14: As per request, please see the additional photographs. You can see that the rear end was made/upgraded to "Oscar India"-type rear end. That was an expensive job! 16/10/14: There will be no re-listing. The Aston sells or I keep her and do the work myself. Don't miss this chance to get a cheap project car as prices for classis Astons raising.
