Hello, you are bidding on 2001 Volkswagen Golf GTI, 1.8T, automatic. I had this car for about 3 years. It was always, very reliable car and I enjoyed driving it very much. Car was always properly maintained and I replaced timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, all the filters, brake pads, etc. About a month ago check engine light came on and transmission lost the 4th gear. It goes in reverse, 1st, 2nd and 3rd but it does not pull in 4th. You can probably drive it as long as you do not put it in D but keep it in 3 instead. I took it to a mechanic to be checked out and he said that, most likely, the transmission needs to be repaired as the code was for transmission. He also said that it might be a solenoid or wiring but he would have to take the transmission apart to check it out. I decided not to fix it but sell it instead. I have the title to the car. Inside and outside is in pretty good condition considering the mileage and age. Car does not need anything, besides the transmission, of course.
