Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with Nav This car was my daily driver and I intended to run it past 200K miles, but there was just too good of a deal to pass up on Labor day weekend! 166K Miles New WV inspection at end of Aug. 2014 Nav software update New floor mats in April. New AC condenser and all new O-rings in May, bird strike through lower grill. New Michelin Rear tires (Costco transferable Warranty) less than 1K Front Michelin (fm Costco) tires with more than half tread. Tires out of sync due to pothole sidewall damage 5 years ago. Civic issue: Standard rear upper control arms have been replaced w/4 wheel alignment. I have always used K&N or Fram synthetic Oil filters. Honda Engine Oil every ~8K until end of warranty then Mobile 1 New front Brake pads at 103K. Have changed Air and cabin air filter every spring. Transmission drained and refilled 3 times since 100K miles with Honda CVT oil. New start battery 1 year ago (they are small, replaced at 3 and 6 years old) New Silverstar headlights 1 year ago when Battery was out. There have never been any computer codes set or fault lights. I have the Honda factory Service manual set. This car has never been in any kind of accident. The interior is near flawless, no wear at all on passenger side or backseat. I wore out the driver’s side floor mat and a small spot of carpet to bare metal with my heal. This happened over last winter sometime and I did not realize until spring cleaning and new mats. There are no rips, tears, punctures, marks on the seats! There is slight visible wear on the armrest. I had a small windshield stone chip repaired a few years ago, the process left a very small pinhead size air bubble. It is not in the driver’s field of view. There are minor door dings, stone chips and usual highway wear. The paint could use a buffing. I drove this car 600+ miles each week. This car still gets 40+ MPG and 44+ MPG on Ethanol free 87 that is just now available again in Charlestown. Again this is highway driving with minor traffic. I have got a best tank on a trip to Phillidelphia, 53 MPG, and several equal bad tanks, 37 MPG, when I get caught having to drive DC rush hour stop and go. My wife used this car two weeks for cold start 15 mile round trips and only managed 32 MPG. There have never been any IMI faults. The battery seems to be fine but noticeably weaker when it is very cold or very hot… it seems to charge and discharge very fast until it warms up or cools off. This car is SN 000074 but I am told this is the 8th production 2007 Civic Hybrid built at the Acura Factory and that it went through lots of quality control.
