I'm selling my beloved MG A as the storage company, where I had it stored, completely screwed up and so my MG is now not as nice as it was before I left the US for some years. Anyway, it's still a nice little car but needs some work now to be a beuty again. This is the 1961 MG A 1600 but has a mildly tuned 1800 engine with dual SU carburettors fitted. Then engine was rebuild prior to storing it 10 years ago... but to prevent any damage, I did not try to start it, in case the piston rings are stuck or to not circulate any old fluids through the system. Front brakes have been converted to disks. Has a second watercoller fitted to resist the californian heat. Paint on the pictures looks shinier than it is.... the sun has burned out the shine... well, it was covered when I stored it and was in a nice overall condition... but as mentiend above, the storage company completely screwed up and their insurance policy is a joke... so this is your chance on a real bargain now. Convertible top also got baked by the sun, so needs a new one... interior also needs some work.. seats, instruments and most stuff seems to be fine though. Has aluminium rims fitted that look nice with inflated tires! ;) Not sure if they still hold air to make it easier to pull it up on a trailer!? From what I can see, this will make an easy winter project.... rust is minimal... doors/sills etc look fine. Comes with some additional stuff like a rear mountable luggage rack and whatever I can find. Stick-on sidescreen are also still there. The milage is just a guess as I forgot to look at the speedo. The only bad spot I could find so far was he old original battery holder. But as it got converted to a modern Battery, it is useless anyway. New Battery is located in the trunk. Body seems to line up fine in all areas. Doors look solid, so do the hinges. Car comes with a new clean title in my name... without any back fees that need to be payed!
