Up for sale, my own personal 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo.If you are looking this auction, then I will assume that you already know a good amount about this amazing vehicle.The vehicle is built proudly by the people of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. (A company that since created in 1963 has stood in fierce opposition to Ferrari) in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Bologna, Italy.Whilst the brand is technically owned by Audi these days, Lamborghini largely runs as an independent exotic car maker benefitting from mainline and hugely expensive technology from its parent company only selectively and only when it makes sense to compliment the mission of the Lamborghini at hand. The Gallardo is no exception. This is truly an amazing vehicle enjoying all of the performance, spirit, terror, and raw visceral feel of its predecessors but benefitting from such modern convinces as air conditioning that now works (TopGear used to liken Lamborghini AC to the wind generated by an asthmatic smoker coughing on the drive while in the cabin).Let me be clear, there is no vehicle like a Lamborghini. I have owned Ferraris, Maseratis, Porsches, and the list goes on......nothing compares. And the Gallardo in my opinion is the best "compromise" Lamborghin to date having "just enough" modern convenience fro Audi to balance the over-the-top raw aspect of prior models. Just an amazing vehicle that I have loved. The extras and condition of the vehicle will show this. First off, the vehicle has 28,358 miles as of yesterday. This may shift subtly if it is driven. The vehicle has been maintained at Lamborghini Dealers/Service centers most recently at Newport Beach for the majority of work performed (all records available at Lamborghini). For minor work, day-to-day stuff etc. I go to dealer recommended indie shops, recently this has been Cavallo motorcars. This vehicle is up-to-date with ALL services and campaigns and I am obsessive about my vehicles so it has had additional maintenance performed that many people would not do.- Recent full service including oil, filters, a/c service and recharge, spark plugs, wheel alignment- Within last year Major service at Lamborghini NB including international campaign to have additional cooling system built into vehicle with augmentation of steering rack (per Lambo S.p.A) at $20K plus- Within last 3 years has had new e-gear clutch, diff fluid flush/clean/replacement, brakes-This year I sprung for a new OEM Lamborghini windshield as mine original had a pin sized chip in it. This cost over $10k all in (shipping from Italy is not cheap)- This year I sprung for an OEM Lamborghini Engine Bay Glass window as seals on old one were not holding up and the glass did not look perfect. At this time, I upgraded the engine bay LED lights as the factory leds tend to burn/melt/break with the heat of the engine.- This year I upgraded the stock wheel to the beautiful OEM Callisto wheels at a cost of over $10k and at the same time, I upgraded the tires to Vredenstein asymmetric all season racing performance tires (these are amazing tires and were actually designed by Giugiaro, the man responsible for the Gallardo design itself (Fabrizio Giugiaro sketched the original design but the final design was completed by Luc Donckerwolcke at the Lamborghini Centro Stile and need I say more as to how they look on the vehicle?). I also purchased new gold OEM wheel center caps at this time. Upgrades:In addition to the above items please note the upgrades below:-This car has autoclaved dry carbon fiber EVERYTHING at a significant expense to me but nothing compares to the look in this car especially with the color (Exterior: engine bay panels, air boxes, exhaust covers and Interior: overhead courtesy light binnacle cover, handbrake, center tunnel cover, power "bump" at base of instrument cluster, "batwing" at instrument cluster base, a/c surround, stereo unit surround, gauge surrounds, center glove box lid, ashtray cover, even the KNOBS on the center instrument stack have carbon fiber inserts. The steering wheel is autoclaved dry carbon fiber with extra cushioning, Alcantara inserts and a red "stripe" at noon in case you loose track of where you are (btw, this does not help save you)-K40 "stealth" Caliber bluetooth radar/laser directional front/back detector jammer system (need I say more) Google it. Not cheap. Totally worry it. I have the indicator LEDs stealth mounted flush on the steering column so you can see them without removing eyes from speedo/wheel while driving.- Hugely Upgraded audio/video. The stock system was one of the weak spots in the original Gallardo. I have removed the entire system and replaced it with an extremely high end solution (I am somewhat of an audiophile). So it has a Pioneer multifunction Avic head unit with video. I use this as a preamp to directly feed an Audison (amazing Italian 6 channel amplifier) which drive focal separates (K2 power and utopia beryllium) with 2 8 inch powered bazooka subs mounted subtly behind both seats. This system literally can blow the doors off the car but sounds so real and smooth you will not want to go into your homie when you pull into the driveway. The avic has every functionality you could want: Bluetooth telephony, Bluetooth audio, GPS/Nav (Hard drive based so fast), SD card reading, Video for every format, USB audio/video in, iPhone, sat radio, and the list goes on. This unit has the added feature of displaying a user customizable "flash page" when you start up the car- sounds silly but this is awesome because I have programmed it to flash the Lamborghini crest EXACTLY as the stock oem a/v system did. It looks pretty amazing and the performance is beyond compare.- Quicklsilver Stainless steel exhaust good for another 5-25 hp if you believe those dyno charts. I will say that the vehicle sounds awesome (bit more baritone) and does feel to "breath" better to me.....but I may be nuts.- Vehicle has Llumar ceramic tint on the side and rear windows.-Vehicle has the updated LP 560 style front bumper/splitter with new OEM Lamborghini grills and a carbon fiber splitter (this is the place where a single fault lies in the vehicle as there is a scratch on the splitter) Luckily a new splitter is easy to buy and costs around $500. I find the problem to be mild and cosmetic but you have the option to change it if you like.-The vehicle has a partial clear bra installed on the front and sides of the vehicle including the mirrors.-The vehicle comes with original Lamborghini manuals and Books.- The vehicle comes with 2 keys (one I purchased new this year at Lambo NB as the prior one was scuffed and it looks awesome).-The vehicle includes a faded OEM Lamborghini soft car cover for in the garage. OK- there are probably some upgrades that I am missing but you get the idea here. This is a pristine vehicle that has been lovingly driven and cared for by an automotive fanatic. If I were not looking at upgrading to another vehicle that I have had my eye on, I would never sell this vehicle as it has reached the pinnacle of customization (other than twin turbos but that is another story all together.) Many looking at this ad may also be considering other exotic vehicles and that is great. Cars are personal items that either "speak to you" or don't. If mine does not speak to you, then frankly, that is your prerogative and I do not need to hear about it or why. BUT if my car DOES speak to you and it IS something that you have been looking for and can afford, you will not find a better, more lovely, or better cared for example. This vehicles a winner. Period. I assure you. If you plan on have the vehicle supported by Lamborghini, you will have a seamless entry into the dealer network. If you decide to have it maintained elsewhere, you can obtain all the papers, etc to demonstrate what has been done and when. Take a look at the photos. I am not a professional photographer and I think that these pics convey the condition of the vehicle. The interior is immaculate and stunning. The exterior is beautiful and mirror, This really is a showroom car (looking and driving). Many folks interested in Lamborghini are probably also looking towards the new Huracan or a preened Murciealago. This are great vehicles no doubt!. I would suggest however that dollar for dollar in terms of performance per dollar spent, it is next to impossible to compete with the Gallardo. I think may would agree with me as the prices of preowned Gallardos on the web actually seems to be increasing......Don't take my word, take a look yourself. Okay.Please only serious bidders.
