For sale I have a '97 850R that I purchased as a good project vehicle and that is what I am advertising it as here. I intended on first swapping the engine out on this car as it is leaking oil from the oil return line on the turbo. Rather than deal with the headache of having to repair multiple things on the engine I would also advise the potential buyer to intend on doing the same. The condition of this vehicle is pretty decent. Some of the major defects on the body however include: peeling clear coat on the roof and areas of the trunk, scratches/swirl marks on the doors and hood, a dent of the front right corner of the hood, missing/malfunctioning headlight wipers, sagging headliner (obviously common), and some cracking on the front bumper. All that said the vehicle including the undercarriage has little to no rust or rot, the body is very solid. I love the color combo as well, the interior has the leather seats with suede inserts, black walnut trim, there isn't any cracking on the dash, and it is loaded with pretty much every option that Volvo offered at the time. I think this R would be a great project for a fellow Volvo enthusiast. I am selling the vehicle as-is and will require a $500 deposit through Paypal following the end of the auction.
