Being offered is a 1978 suzuki RM400, this was built to race vintage. No expense was spared in the building of this bike, it is like new with only 3 heat cycles on the engine. The engine has all new bearings, seals and gaskets, it has a new 1st over oem suzuki piston and rings on a fresh bore, new clutch fiber and steel plates, with a rebuilt mikuni carb, it has new Boysen power reeds and a new prototype built on the bike Circle-F pipe and silencer. It has new Full Circle rims, laced with heavy guage stainless spokes and nipples from Buchanans to OEM suzuki conical hubs, all new wheel bearings seals and brake shoes, wrapped in new tires and tubes. New modern wide pegs are installed. The front forks are 38mm with no rust and they have fresh seals, oil and new wipers. The frame is solid, it has no repairs, rust, rewelds, crushed or damaged tubes, it has been powdercoated. The rear has a mint Alloy swingarm with new bearings and seals, It is fitted with an adjustable rear brake stay rod. The rear shocks are 16" Fox-Airs that have just been rebuilt by Stallion Machine in Kennedale Tx, the have all new seals and bladders and are set up for a 190 pound rider. These shocks are mint and have no fin damage and look NOS. The chain rollers and sliders are new throughout, it has a new 13t front sprocket, a new PBI alloy 50t rear sprocket and new chain. The plastics are all new throughout, it has a new custom made seat cover fitted over new seat foam, the tank is a Oem 79 with a Vintage Suzuki cover. It has new Vortex vintage bend bars , all the cables a NOS suzuki, it has new levers, new Renthal grips, whirlpool throttle and a new kill button. Every nut a locknut ,all bolts are new and stainless. Inside the air box is a new UNI Air filter. This bike runs and handles great, weight has been shaved off the bike wherever possible and it feels very nimble. It is very tight and feels like new. This is a Race ready bike and it draws a crowd wherever it goes, It is a competetive racer and will pass for a show bike.
