This vehicle was purchased from the original couple who purchased it new and cared for it for the past 50 years. Now in their 90’s they decided to sell the car. It was originally light blue over blue interior. The original owner had it converted to red over black in the 80’s. The body was stripped and everything was painted properly in the new shade of red. There is no evidence of the original blue hue. Most of the interior was replaced at this time also except the seats which were just given black seat covers. The exterior features a recent repaint in brilliant red complimented with all original trim, factory wire wheels and accessory luggage rack. The exterior is in very good condition, there are a few minor dings that have been painted over, there is no rust and the floor pan is very solid and original. The doors line up and open and close as they should. A factory tonneau cover is included and has two minor tears at the stitching which can be repaired. The original top and frame are included with the car, but the top will need to be replaced, the frame is perfect. Also included are stone guards and yellow fog covers for the headlights. A unique aftermarket hood scoop is also included in the sale. The trim is not all perfect but very good and all original to the car. The tires are a bit old and could be replaced, but they all hold air and the car drives well with them, if a bit hard. The interior has had the carpet and trim replaced in black in the 1980’s and it still shows very well. The seats will need to be recovered. We have tried to order reproductions which are currently on back order and have adjusted our asking price accordingly. The seat frames are perfect and cushions are good enough to just recover with sets from a supplier such as Moss Motors. A factory optioned walnut wood wheel is included. The motor operates perfectly. The carburetors have been rebuilt, a new upper radiator/heater hose was replaced as well as the thermostat and radiator cap. All fluids have been changed. The motor has been properly detailed and returned to almost as new appearance. The transmission and clutch engage and operate perfectly. The brake system is largely original with the new wheel cylinders added to the rear brakes. The suspension is original.
