1974 Jeep CJ-5 An original classic with 304 V8 power & 3-speed manual transmission Jeep has been very well taken care of and has an original, steel body that is solid. It has a look and sound that is what an early CJ is all about. The engine is a 304 cubic-inch V8 that is made by AMC and is Jeep factory equipment. This beauty has kept its factory styling and has been fitted with equipment to improve safety and driver comfort. A lot of new and upgraded components have been installed including: premium steering, large front disc brake conversion, new drums and shoes in rear, greaseable shackles, clutch and clutch linkage & rubber body mounts. Recently installed items include 32” BFG tires, seats, Bestop softtop and doors. A brand new set of CJ style fender flares have not been installed (still in box) and a black bikini top (top that covers just front seats) The original, front drum brakes were recently replaced with discs which greatly improves stopping distance. Brake lines and master cylinder were replaced as well. New drums and shoes installed in rear. About a thousand miles since top-end rebuild on 304 (Not a complete engine overhaul). This is a very powerful engine (especially for such a light vehicle) and she runs very smooth. Starts right up, idles at 7500 rpm and can literally be driven at 60 mph with one finger on wheel. 4-wheel drive works: High and low gears No major rust & no leaks.
