Vehicle Detail
I'm selling my trusty A6. I bought it used in 2007 after my first big paycheck and have treated it as my prized baby since. It was a CPO from Westmont Audi near Chicago. Clean history and I'm only the second owner. All services done at Audi dealerships except for two oil changes and two tire replacements. I have most of the receipts, and perhaps all of them if I dig around more. This is the top of the line trim with all the bells and whistles: navigation, heated front and back seats, sliding sunroof, smart key entry and engine stop/start, Bose speakers, headlights that turn with the wheel, etc. I've also had a Denison 500 iPod/iPhone system professionally installed into the glove compartment. It lets you hook up your iPhone and is completely integrated to the Audi's native MMI media system. The condition is very good. The car runs great. It's a snazzy and smooth ride with plenty of power when you want it. It's been garage-kept until two years ago. Unfortunately, for the past two years, I had to street park it. The car is still beautiful from the outside. The color is classic navy blue that really shines when the sun hits; it looks almost black at night. There are some scratches on both the front and back bumpers from street parking the past two years and I did my best to highlight them in the pictures. Also when you get close, you can see some paint chips on the front part of the hood. Please see the last four pictures. As for my driving habits, I never used it as my commuting car when I had a regular job. Most miles are freeway from road trips and visiting girlfriend and family in Ohio. There are some things that don't work as well as they used to. After all, it is a 9-year-old car. I'll try to be as upfront and detailed as I can about them. -The car is equipped with a push start/stop button and smart key entry, but it's not working at the moment. It isn't broken but simply needs a computer/system reset at the dealership. Since my warranty had run out, that meant paying out of pocket, which I didn't want to do. But if you want it to work, then just get it reset at a dealership. The cost, from what I recall, was in the $50-100 range. -The trunk lid's strut seems to be broken, requiring a bit more muscle power than usual to open it. -There's a small button on the inside--as in the cross section--of the driver's side door that is missing. You can see it in the driver's side door picture (it's above the red light). I have no idea what it does. One day I noticed it's no longer there. -Other than paint chips and bumper scratches mentioned above, there are some spots of discoloration between the back door and the trunk on the driver side. I tried to capture it in one of the last four photos, but the discoloration is pretty subtle so it's not really showing in the picture (the white you see are clouds' reflections). They're from spilling hot coffee on it. I don't see or notice it day to day. But it's something you might catch if you were to inspect closely. -The ski bag cover in the trunk came unscrewed. I have the cover and I'm sure it's not hard to put back on if you're handy. But I'm not. -The tires were replaced about 12,000 miles/18 months ago. I love this car. In fact, I'd love to get another A6 as my next car (not for a couple of years) if I can afford it. I'm selling this now because I just got married and my wife has a car. Plus I started grad school, so no need for an extra car. If you able to come out to St. Louis, then I'd love for you to test drive it because this car still drives like a dream German luxury sedan it was built to be. Comes with two original keys and a full-size spare wheel and tire. Note: This is a re-listing because there was a typo in the car's mileage in the original one. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for looking.
