This is a four cycle engine.Capable of 73 mph.( See Specs on line.) Starts 1 to 3 kicks. Looks like i bought this in August of 1996 .DIRT READY RITE NOW! Needs about $100.00 worth of parts to be street legal. They are all here on ebay. Cleaned carburator,fuel tank, new plug, air filter,new front tire, tube, spoke liner,new handle grips.Wheels shine up nice spokes need some cleaning ,paint is fair see pictures seat was recovered in 96 cat clawed see pictures.Head lite is an up grade, very lite; ziptied on. In 1998 they changed the laws in high desert( ca 92345) no longer able to just open ride out my front gate. Registration expired 09/26/97, has not been ridden. I can get parts and install if you need. Ebay site for parts, Gold 3288 gold $13.45 switch (lites turn horn) ;ozg-motors 4 turn signals led $20.57 fr sh; Az imports brk switch $9.99 fr sh horn steelescycle22054 $1.95 plus ship $12.27 . Questions answered daily,can text pictures if you need . Speedo not sure on, cable not turning; either cable or gear. Has a decompression cable tie into kick starter can start with flip flops on. Just found out this bike originally had a battery, no bat or battery box. Never had when i bought it. What i can tell reading online, is you can run the bike with out a battery,head light may be very dim at idle. Also there is a front brake lite switch missing.They are available also on ebay cheap. I am going to order the switch for the head light and hoke it up. Should be here 9/05/14. Not sure if i can add any info after saturday.On Sep-06-14 at 10:37:37 PDT, seller added the following information: All main wiring harness appears to be intact, have the head lite switch,(universal) going to get the correct connectors,so has not to lose the main harness connectors. Found a wiring diagram 80 xl185? appears right will ship with bike, will try to add more pictures. On Sep-07-14 at 05:57:12 PDT, seller added the following information: Installed switch, get light to come on, not very bright .Tail light works, neutral indicator light works,light for speedometer works. Wiring for rear turn signals is intact,wiring for rear brake light switch is there. Checked front turn signals, light is there ,bulb and guts are missing. will need all 4 turn signals. The LED lights takes a special resistor, to function rite. The left side cover is held on with a bolt and ziptie, the battery box ( not there ) has the correct mounting for left side.Right side cover has 1 tap broken off for mounting,will stay on; zipties are added for precaution . Bike starts good, runs good, dirt ready, will need some help to make street legal. Title says I purchased in 08/15/1996 ,was registered then last plate on bike is 1996 Sep. I non-opted it on Nov 10 1997. needed insurance to register in Ca. Shows only 4 miles on bike from time of purchase.
