Vehicle Detail
1972 Triumph Tiger 650, runs great and will start with 1 or 2 kicks. this is a numbers matching motorcycle and is about 98% original. The brakes are good considering they are drums, and the bike shifts fine. The turn signals, tail light, headlight and indicator lights all work. Tires only have about 2000 miles on them and look almost new. It has newer air filters and the front wheel bearings were replaced when the new tires were put on last year. The gas tank is in very good shape, clean inside. It could use front fork seals, also it has a couple of oil leaks after riding that should be fixed at some point, these older triumphs are known to leak a little oil. The gas tank, frame and front fender appear to be original paint, however I had the rear fender , air filter covers and chain guard repainted. the speedo is a bit squirrely, doesn't work properly. Has a newer battery, Triumph brand nice postal style saddle bags, one which has a hole in the bottom were the stitching came apart, needs to be re stitched. Seat is in ok shape, has a few small rips, seat lock needs some adjustment, also has glue or something on it that should be able to be scrubbed off. Chrome is in good shape with minimal pitting in areas. This is a 42 year old bike that has never been restored so it does have all the common dings, scratches, chips that would be expected of a bike this age... it is vintage and not showroom condition. All in All it is a very solid bike that you will be able to jump on and ride, be prepared for a lot of looks and conversation when riding this bike. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions about the bike that I may have missed. The title is clear and in my name.
