Vehicle Detail

1971 Camaro RS Z28 4 Speed. The car has its original #s matching M22 Muncie 4 speed Stamped on the side of the trany is 1N507505 P1K29C CASTING NUMBERS MAIN CASE 3925661 TAIL 3978764 GM. Very few of the Z28 cars came with this trany making this an extra rare car. The engine is a 1978 350 from a corvette Suffix CMR with Edelbrock Aluminum Heads and roller rockers. There is a lumpy cam in the engine that performs very nice. Pump the gas and it starts right up and Idles great. Temp runs between 170 and 180. As you Idle into parking lots the lumpy cam and exhaust do attract a lot of attention. Although it might just be from the Split bumper front end I'm not sure but it feels good. Under the car you see Headers and a nice stainless dual exhaust. There is a 1970 12 bolt rear axle Identified by the casting numbers. The rear end is not rusty but I did not see the stamped numbers in the right tube to Identify it further. I think it has a 373 gear. This Camaro has power steering and manual breaks that work great. The car runs and drives great with a couple rattles from the exhaust. I do think the shocks need to be replaced. Interior is in good condition although not perfect. The dash is very nice. Headliner is very nice. Carpet's good. Door panels are nice. Seats and Arm rest have a few small rips nothing that stands out. It has Pro-Comp Ultra light gauges. The Temp, Fuel and Oil pressure work good but the Speedometer and Tach do not. The paint from 15-20 feet away doesn't look bad. There are area's were the paint is flacking off, not from rust but there's an adhesion problem in some areas. The doors open and close great but could use door pins in the future Windows work great. Quarter panels were replaced and done nicely. The front floor pan on the left side was replaced ,structurally sound but the finish work could have been better. Overall the underside of the car looks good. This is the perfect project car needing only a small amount of work. Some detailing and a paint job. Or a great driver as is. Being a true RS/Z28 with the hard to find expensive M22 still in place and a expensive 12 bolt rear axle its the perfect investment. Call email or text anytime 715-851-3887 The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
